Cover is the study association for Artificial Intelligence and Computing Science offering three types of activities:

  • Social

We organise weekly borrels, monthly socials and tons of other activities. If you are interested in these topics and also want to have a genuinely good time, drop by the Cover room in the Bernoulliborg on Zernike campus (0041a), because that's where we live. We are open on weekdays from 11:00 to 17:00.

  • Study

We organise study support lectures about our degree programs. You can join workshops that either dig deeper into materials, or offer some fresh knowledge. You can also find help using our tutoring system!

  • Career

We also offer career oriented events. Regularly, we have companies over to hold talks about certain career paths. You will find this interesting if you want to talk to students who finished their studies and now work at companies or if you are interested in what companies are up to in general.

By: Dispuut Io Vivat on September 19, 2024 21:03

Victory for Cover, but not quite! The Praeses of our dispuut, Fabi, won second prize for the Francken borrel by having a deflated basketball ball as a cup. We would like to congratulate him and his prominence!

Member of the Month: Julian Sprietsma

By: IntroCee on September 16, 2024 15:29

As promised, and after much deliberation and mulling this extremely momentous matter, IntroCee has elected its member of the month for September 2024! Coming out on top after extensive debates, beating out myriads of close seconds, and cementing his place in Cover's history, is Julian Sprietsma!

Julian has proven himself to be an invaluable asset to the association, spearheading many important activities over his time with us such as the DLCee, the candidate board (kut), or paying 33 euros to become member of the month at the IntroCee end-of-camp auction.

If you were not nominated as MotM this time, do not despair! There will be more opportunities to achieve such greatness, including but not limited to buying it at the next IntroCee auction. In the meantime, make sure to speak to Julian as often and lengthily as possible about his achievement. He will surely appreciate telling you about his Coverlicious feats at any hour of the day.

Abacus puzzle booklet!

By: Board on April 25, 2024 15:48

Hello everyone!

Our sister association Abacus, the mathematics study association of the University of Twente, is working on a puzzle book for all mathematics and computer science associations in the Netherlands and needs your help!

Would you like to contribute and help create puzzles? Then this is your chance! A sample of the last edition can be found here:  https://issuu.com/ideaal.aba...eaal_2021-07-06_puzzelboekje.

As a small side note, to avoid getting a puzzle booklet filled with only sudokus, Abacus has asked you to not make more than two of the same "type of puzzle"

You have until 6 May to make one or more puzzles and send them to secretary@svcover.nl, and we will make sure they end up at the right place! When the puzzle booklet is finished, you too can enjoy your own puzzle and those of many others!
