Join us for DisCover's experimental experimenTAD and be one of our (in)voluntary guinea pigs. The topic of investigation: brainrot summaries, you might have seen them around with many PDF to Brainrot converters online (for example: https://coconote.app/brainrot). Or maybe you have seen them months ago when they were still new and relevant. Nevertheless, people have been arguing for and against them for centuries. But today, we will find the definitive answer on whether or not they work. The report will be published as part of the 2026 edition of our DisCover.
The (voluntary) participants will be given access to either an AI-generated video summary of a text or the actual text. Next, you will be given a list of questions to answer. These will be used to look at the performance on each of the questions for the two groups. The results will be printed in the magazine.
