Helllloooooo!!!!

The committee clothing system is changing! We brought it up at the most recent GA and it was agreed to change the system. But to exactly what? We want to hear your thoughts!

You can read a document we wrote about it here.

But to summarize, we think it would be nice that instead of each committee buying a new piece of clothing each year that a person who is part of a committee buys one sweatshirt. The sweatshirt is bought wholesale by Cover and is made fair and sustainably and that with each committee the member joins they add the logo to the sweatshirt. They can also add all committees they have been on in the past.

We like the uniformity of it, the sustainability, and think its an improvement on the current system.

One thing brought up at the GA was patches. The idea being that again you get a patch with the committee logo each time you join a committee but it would be up to the individual what they do with the patches.  A pro is patches are really cool! A con is no real committee identifiability.

Include your thought and ideas below and please choose on the poll.

Why would patches mean committees being unidentifiable? The patches can just as well have the committee logo, and it would make the discrepancy between the logos a bit smoother than if printed. Also, it would fit nicer with the "collectibles" theme, as a member can get a new patch if a committee changes its logo for example (or include years and make the patches smaller).

But on that idea, I don't think that patches really fit on sweatshirts, so there might be a better piece of clothing for patches.

I just meant that patches alone wouldn't lead to identifiability because people would put the patches in a variety of different places so there would be no one clear committee look.

The idea of a sustainable Cover sweater that is available to all members for a lifetime/time at cover is my preference. And I also like the idea of the patches. Especially because patches could be given out during special events, too. For example participating in the winter ball/gala, the Symposium, intro camp. Personally I don’t feel a need to be recognizable as member of my specific committees on distance. So having the committee patch on a level with other patches would be fine, imo. Since HeroCee has a special function, I‘d suggest they wear something else additionally to stand out at events.
